Steve Robalino is an electrical engineer by trade, now in semi-retirement. He has returned to a lifelong passion that dates back to childhood: painting. 

Steve began by refining his watercolor skills, studying with Frank Eber, a world-renowned artist and teacher known for atmospheric and impressionistic work. After developing his abilities in watercolor, he transitioned to oils—his preferred medium—which offer greater flexibility and depth.

Oil painting led Steve to portraiture, where he has taken workshops with Daniel Greene and Karen Offutt. Another subject of great appeal is painting figures in the landscape, particularly urban and open scenes. This has become his primary focus, and he credits his current mentor, Robin Cheers, a highly accomplished painter in the Austin area, with developing these skills.

Steve is married to Mary Ann and lives in Austin, TX. They have three wonderful children and too much stuff.
